Toronto Nightlife by Neighbourhood: King West, Queen West, Downtown and Beyond

Toronto does not have one nightlife district; it has six, each with its own crowd, dress code and price point. Pick the neighbourhood first and the rest of the night falls into place.

King West

The strip. Between Spadina and Bathurst you get Lost & Found, DPRTMNT, Lavelle, 44 Toronto, Century, Isabelle's and a row of lounges. Upscale dress, selective doors, the best bottle service in the city. King West clubs.

Entertainment District & Downtown

Big rooms near the Rogers Centre and Union Station, Latin Wednesdays at Fiction and big weekends at The Fifth Social Club. Friendlier doors and lower cover than King West. Entertainment District clubs.

Queen West

Future and Infinity Room at the Spadina end, Ultraviolet and Apt. 200 west of Bellwoods. The widest range of music and the lightest dress codes. Queen West clubs.

Waterfront & Port Lands

Polson Pier: Rebel for the biggest club nights and concerts in the country, Cabana Pool Bar for summer day parties, both facing the skyline. Waterfront clubs.

Little Italy & The Annex

College Street's Nest and Amore, El Convento Rico's Latin nights and midnight drag, and Coda's techno marathons a few blocks north. Music-first with friendlier doors. Little Italy clubs.

East End

History and The Opera House on Queen East for touring shows and DJ nights with no dress code. East end venues.

Getting around

The 504 King, 501 Queen and 505 Dundas streetcars run all night and connect most of these areas. Rebel and Cabana are a rideshare or the 72 Pape bus. Last call is 2 AM everywhere, so plan the ride home before you need it.
